How it Works

	Determine if your college is served.
	Purchase a Trip Savers Box (or boxes). Important: We need to ship your box kit to you first so order as early as possible. Review our transit time map in the Transportation Services tab to estimate the arrival time of your kit.
	If you confirm you have a Trip Savers Box, you can reserve a pick up date. If you do not have a box you will be directed to the Purchase a Box link. Important: Review the Transit Time map in the Transportation Services tab to understand how long it will take for your shipment to arrive at your school. Schedule your pickup accordingly. If it arrives a day or two early, no problem. Trip Savers will gladly store it in a secure facility, free of charge, until the required delivery date.

Welcome to

Trip Savers is a cargo transport service geared specifically to colleges and universities in Central New York. Using custom-designed Trip Savers Boxes, students and parents can pack and ship books, clothes, linens, school supplies, tack, sports equipment and other personal belongings to or from designated schools. This allows the student to either share a ride with a friend or use public transportation.

Students can ship door-to-door using two different types of Trip Savers Boxes. In between or during semesters, students can swap out a good portion of their seasonal bedding or clothing by using the Small Trip Savers Box. It has a maximum capacity of 65 lbs. If a student is looking to move home in the spring or returning to school in the fall, our Large Trip Savers Box can handle up to 145 lbs. or just about everything a student would need in a typical dorm room.

The transportation charge for each box is a unique, all inclusive, flat rate.
